Who you are writing to

AirRanger pursues flight-disruption compensation for passengers on Indian domestic flights, under the DGCA rules. We work on a no-win-no-fee basis: 30% of what we recover, and nothing at all if we recover nothing.

Questions we are asked most

I have already received my refund. Am I still entitled to compensation?

Usually, yes. A refund only returns the money you paid — it puts you back where you started. Compensation is a separate amount the airline owes you on top of that, for the disruption itself. Airlines rarely mention the second one, and most people never find out it exists. This is the single most common reason a claim goes unmade.

The airline has already rejected my claim. Can it still be pursued?

No, it isn't over. A first refusal is close to automatic and tells you very little about the merits of your claim. Almost every claim we have recovered was refused at least once before it was paid. If you have been told no, that is the start of the process, not the end of it.

How old can the flight be for a claim to be filed?

No time limit, but the sooner the better. Airlines retain records for limited periods, and your own booking emails, boarding passes and messages are much easier to find while they are recent. If your flight was in the last few weeks, that is the strongest position to start from.

Do you handle international flights, or only Indian domestic ones?

Yes. We work on flights within India and departing India, under the DGCA rules that apply to airlines operating from India.

Is the compensation paid per passenger or per booking?

Per passenger. If four of you travelled on one booking, that is four entitlements, not one. Bring everyone on the booking — it costs you nothing extra and it multiplies what is recovered.

Can I withdraw my claim from you once I have started?

Yes. You can withdraw at any point and you will owe nothing for work done up to then. The claim is yours throughout — we act on your authority, not in place of it.

What happens if the claim does not succeed?

Then you owe us nothing. We take the risk on the claim, which is also why we are honest with you upfront about claims we don't think will win. It isn't in our interest to file something hopeless, and it isn't in yours to hope.

How long will it take to resolve my claim?

Most claims settle within two to four weeks, and we provide you your share within 5 working days of receiving the disbursement from the airline. Our fastest was six days; the longest have run past a month when the airline forced an escalation to the regulator. Cases that reach the regulator take longer but succeed at a similar rate — the delay is procedural, not a sign the claim is weak.

How will the compensation reach me?

Straight into your bank account within 5 days of the airline disbursing to us, and after reducing our service fee — 30% of the recovered compensation. We never hold your money.

Can I not pursue the claim myself, directly with the airline?

You can — and if you have the time, you should. What you get with AirRanger is leverage. We back your claim with verified aviation tracking data to disprove boilerplate airline excuses, from questionable weather claims to generic “operational reasons”. We know the exact DGCA escalation deadlines, and we keep going through the second and third refusals where most passengers reasonably give up.
