AirRanger helps air passengers in India claim compensation owed to them under DGCA rules. Doing that means handling personal information. This explains what we collect, why, and how to have it removed.
If anything here is unclear, write to support@airranger.co and we will explain it.
Who we are
AirRanger is a passenger claims service based in Mumbai, India. Full details of the operator are set out in the authorisation documents you receive before we begin work on your claim, and are available on request at any time.
For questions about your information, contact our Grievance Officer at support@airranger.co
What we collect
Only what a claim needs:
- Who you are
- name, contact details, and identity documents where an airline or grievance portal requires them
- What happened
- booking and ticket details, boarding pass, cancellation or denied-boarding documentation, and any correspondence you have already had with the airline
- What we need to act for you
- a signed authorisation allowing us to pursue your claim
- Where compensation goes
- bank or payment details, where needed to pay you
- How you use our site
- IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referral source
We use analytics tools that set cookies to understand how the site is used. You can refuse non-essential cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or buy contact data from anyone.
Why we use it
To assess whether you have a claim, to prepare and pursue it, to keep you informed, to verify identity where required, to run and improve our service, and to meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Only where pursuing your claim requires it:
- the airline concerned, and its nodal officer or appellate authority
- DGCA, AirSewa, CPGRAMS or the Ministry of Civil Aviation, where a claim is escalated
- service providers who help us run our systems, who act on our instructions and may store data outside India
- a court, regulator or authority where we are legally required to disclose
Your rights
You may ask us to show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, delete it, or stop using it. You may withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. You may nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
To withdraw consent or request deletion: email support@airranger.co with the subject line "Withdraw consent". We will confirm and act on it promptly.
If a claim is in progress, withdrawing consent means we stop work on it. Anything already sent to an airline or authority cannot be recalled by us.
If we do not resolve a privacy complaint to your satisfaction, you can take it to the Data Protection Board of India.
Keeping it safe
We use encrypted connections, restrict access to claim files to people working on them, require two-factor authentication on the systems holding your data, and delete what we no longer need. No system is completely secure and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
Children
Our service is not for anyone under 18. Where a claim concerns a child, we deal only with a parent or guardian.
Changes
We may update this notice. The current version is always the one on this page.
